Although he penned these words in the late 4th century, they are still as true today as they were then. We are reminded to lean completely on our Lord Jesus Christ for true rest and peace for our hearts that can be found nowhere else in the world.

What is man’s chief end? To glorify God and enjoy him forever. This is made possible through the atoning work of Christ through his crucifixion and ascension. In a chaotic and evil world, we find a harbor of tranquility in Christ alone.

Seek the Lord, Christian! Only in Him may we find our soul’s longings satisfied!
